RESPONSE FROM ROBERT T. LEE: Thanks Sparhawk for your comment. Sin doesn't commit sin, but people do. Therefore people incur the wrath of God, not sin. It is people whom God hate and punish for sinning. He never punishes sin itself. Read Romans 9:13. There is a time to hate the sin and love the sinner and a time to hate both the sin and the sinnner. But few people know how to rightly practice those principles. america's governmet and public goes to one extreme and most people that read my site think I go to the other.

The best way I know to expain these two principles is to have you visualize a scale beginning with zero on the left and ending with 100 on the right. Each tic mark from zero to one hundred represents an advancing degree of heinousness of sin. The person involved is placed at the center of the scale. All sin committed within the different degrees of heinousnee on the left are labeled "Sins wherein you hate the sin and not the sinner." All these sins are not deathworthy crimes, and so, this is why you would hate the sin and not the sinner. The closer the tic marks advance towards the center where the person committing them is, the closer the sins get to being deathworthy crimes.

If, however, a person commits sin that passes the midway point of the tic marks, he has committed a crime worthy of death, and so it is at this point justice require government and the citizens to rightly begin to hate both the sin and the sinner. Any mark past the fifty tic mark represent death worthy crimes and their degree of heinous beyond making a person worthy of death. All the sins on the right of the scale are labeled as "Sins that make the person rightly hated to the point of death by the government and its citizens."

Sins that belong on the left side of the scale are: white lies, petty theft, and etc. Sins that belong on the right side of the scale are homosexuality, lesbianism, murder, pedophilia, bestiality, rape, adultery, abortion, blasphemy against God and etc.

The idea makes sense, but as nowhere that I know of in the Bible is there a listing of sins and their heiniousness, or in fact any sort of scale like that, I have trouble figuring out what you actually base your decisions on what sins fall in what categories on. Several things are required to properly understand this principle: A soul that has been saved by the grace of God, a proper sense of God's justice, a love for His righteousness and a proper understanding of the general tenor of the Holy Scriptures.

The general teachings of Scripture teach that there are degrees of heinousness among sins. All sins do not carry the same weight of heinousness. There are sins wherein God does not require the death of the sinner, while there are others He does (1 John 5:16 -17).

The best way, in a practical sense, to perceive God's scale of heinousness of sin is to note what God has labeled as sins and crimes, note His prescribed punishments and note how He matches the punishments to the crimes. If governments would properly match their punishments to the crimes of their citizens, there would be no injustice. Criminal justice systems cannot do this unless they are established upon the laws of God, and the officials therein know how to properly balance the equations of justice. That is to say that they must be able to see that some sins are equivalent to others in weight of heinousness even though the sins themselves are of different natures.

ANSWER:

Your question reveals that you have a particular spiritual disease that I once had when I was an atheist and which I have observed in every atheist I have talked with or received comment from. It is a sickness I like to call "contradictalitis." This disease takes away the atheist's ability to harmonize certain truths in his mind which do not truly contradict. And no matter how much you show the true harmony to him, he just doesn't get it.

Now to answer your question: In every heathen society, you'll find that there are still vestiges of morality mixed with their heathen laws. God is the author of all morality regardless of whether man incorporates morality into his evil system. One reason there are still vestiges of morality is because heathen man recognizes that he would completely destroy himself if he removed morality completely from his society. Therefore even the heathen says "You shall not murder." However God is the author of that law.

I use heathen law to my rightful moral advantage. And I live by all morality incorporated into heathen law. But I do not obey law that is contrary to morality. You should do the same.

It is you who do not really understand what atheism really is. Atheist make the false claim that they cannot hate God since they don't believe in His existence. However all atheists know that God exists. They just deny this knowledge. And in their denial they claim they cannot hate Him.

Atheists deny their knowlege that God exists just as they deny the humanity of innocent human embryos and fetuses while they are yet in the womb. They know that they are human but they deny that they are. Therefore they deceive themselve into thinking it isn't murder whenever they are deliberately aborted.

It is not often that people admit they are dirty and need cleaning. You admit here that you are dirty (thoroughly depraved) and need cleaning, and that the Bible is the only place in the world where you can find true cleaning. If it wasn't clean and righteous, you wouldn't have used it. If it was dirty, you would only have further dirtied yourself by wiping with it. I'm glad therefore that you did not wipe yourself with the american constitution because you would have gotten yourself even dirtier. You have proved how clean the Bible truly is. Keep up the good work, and go tell other dirty people where they can get cleaned also.

I am writing to you because lately I have been in turmoil. I have faith in God and believe in His existence but I do not agree with some of what is said in The Bible. Does this make me an atheist? You say you believe God's exists and you have faith in Him, but at the same time you say you "...do not agree with some of what is said in The Bible." That is a great contradiction for anyone who would be a true Christian. True Christians, or true believers in God believe *ALL* of God word is true, and they believe that even when they do not fully understand any portion of His word. God's word is true. You should not believe anything else.

Just think of what you are doing when you disagree with any portion of God's word: You are in essence saying the Almighty God is in error and does not know what He is talking about. That is a haughty assessment of the Almighty God by a measly creature. It is impossible for God to be wrong. It is we who are in error and not God.

You asked are you an atheist. There are many different types of unbelievers in God. One does not have to be an atheist to be a nonbeliever. The disagreement you have with God's word springs from your depravity. All humans are totally depraved in their Adamic selves. So what you are seeing are manifestations of your depravity. It is our depravity we need saving from. You must hate this aspect of yourself while at the same time ask God for forgiveness for this and all other sins. If you have a true hatred for all evil and a love for God and His righteousness, you have been born again. The thing to do is never allow youself to do evil, even when you are alone. Try to stay clean from sin in your thoughts, words and deeds and disassociate yourself from evil people.

Stay away from "Catholic Priests". Catholicism is error. I dont know about your particular priest, but many of them are effeminate or gay. Such are not representatives of God, but representatives of the devil. And even if he is not gay, he, as a "Catholic Priest" is nevertheless a representative of satan.

The fact that you call yourself an anarchists proves that. But humans simply cannot exist apart from living according to the principles devised for them by God. It doesn't matter what you believe or whether you want to deny God, if you want to continue to exist, you must, to some degree, live by GOD'S (your enemy's) LAWS. This proves that there is LIFE in God's laws. Live by any other principles and you DIE - you destroy yourself or others. If you want to die, all you have to do is disobey GOD'S LAWS. Consider your felt need to live by God's principles while you call yourself an "anarchist" as GOD'S gracious restraint upon you preventing your harm or death. And as other people see the need to live by God's laws, consider it as God mercy upon you. Because if they are allowed to disobey God's laws, it could mean your harm or the end of your life as well.

If you fear to defy what is called "the law of gravity" because you would break your neck, would you call that law tyranny? It is one of God's natural laws which can have dire consequences if defied. There are many other natural laws that result in harm if defied. If a person blew up a building full of innocent children and the government gives him the death penalty, would you call that "tyranny" by the government? Wouldn't it be more proper to agree that the person deserves the penalty of death? Surely you wouldn't call it "tyranny" because the death penalty is there to deter such crimes? If you call it such, you are a senseless animal and insane! Corporeal government belongs to God. It is suppose to impose God's laws and punishments upon the people for the good of the people. If you call the punishments tyranny, you are an enemy to mankind. That's what atheism and anarchy is: plagues upon mankind.

But there are also eternal consequences to defying God's laws. What do you think a measly creature deserves who calls himself an anarchist/atheist who defies without good reason the God who gave him existence? Isn't it right that you owe allegiance to such a God. If you despise and seek the nonexistence of the hand that feeds you and takes precious care of you, what do you think you deserve? Eternal reward or punishment? You be the judge.

Genuine Christians are smarter than atheists because they realize that in their natural selves they are totally depraved. There are many terrorists in america -- bred and taught from the cradle to be so by america. Some american terrorists are legislators and federal judges who make laws and decisions against morality. That terrorizes the righteous who live in america. Others are atheists who are diligently seeking to make laws against true Christianity in america. Others are abortion right advocates and abortion workers and doctors who terrorize innocent human embryos and fetuses - 35-40 million and counting in america.
